{"product_id":"p5505","title":"Kohiki sake cup","description":"This is a newly fired Kohiki sake cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Kouriki, an inner-circle apprentice of the master Sozan Kaneshige. The pure white glaze, inherited from Sozan Kaneshige—who himself was mentored in glazed ceramics by Munemaro Ishiguro—is magnificent. Despite using Bizen clay, this is a truly authentic Kohiki work, evidenced by the texture of the clay visible where it remains unglazed and the application of the pure white slip, which is nothing short of masterful. For this piece, a matte, non-glossy glaze was used for the finish, creating a unique texture reminiscent of frosted glass. The refreshing, pristine look of the Kohiki is perfect for the coming warmer seasons; it is a delight to use alternately with Bizen-ware pieces, or even paired together with them.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided at a later date\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 10.5cm x 10.1cm x Height 3.9cm\n\nYoshiteru Kouriki was born in Ako City, Hyogo Prefecture. Influenced by his father, who loved ceramics, he aspired to pursue the craft. After graduating from high school in 1989, he apprenticed under the master Sozan Kaneshige and his son Yuho Kaneshige to study pottery techniques. Following seven years of training, he built an anagama kiln in Shizutani, Bizen City, and established his own studio in 1996, successfully firing his first kiln the following year. He held his first solo exhibition in Tokyo in 2000 and has held solo exhibitions every year since. In 1999, his work was selected for the \"Exhibition of Confectionery Bowls from the North I'd Like to Use,\" and in 2002, he was selected for the \"Chanoyu Modeling Exhibition\" for the first time.","brand":"高力芳照","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618682687585,"sku":"5505","price":7000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/5505.jpg?v=1790240282","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p5505","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
