{"product_id":"p5577","title":"Black sake bottle","description":"This is a black sake flask by Tomoyuki Oiwa, who has made his long-awaited debut after learning pottery techniques under Ryuichi Kakurezaki. This new piece was fired in the third firing of an anagama kiln he designed and built himself in Kamigori, Hyogo Prefecture. Mr. Oiwa aims for intense firing, which gives his black works a deep luster while drawing out beautiful yet dramatic \"goma\" (ash glaze). True to his style, which finds charm in the intense kiln changes born from maintaining high temperatures for a relatively long time, the white kiln changes, fired to the absolute limit, cover the black surface like snow. The white kiln change takes on a slight light blue tint due to the influence of the black, which matches the shade of the yellow goma, making them complement each other. The piece features an original crane-neck-like silhouette, and every detail has been carefully designed, including a unique impressed pattern on the body that looks as if it were stitched together. (*Please note there is a mark from where the piece adhered to another due to the intense ash glaze on the shoulder, but this does not affect its use.)\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided later\u003cbr\u003e\nMouth 3.0cm × Body 9.2cm × Body 6.8cm × Height 17.3cm Capacity 160cc\n\nTomoyuki Oiwa was born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture in 1977.
