{"product_id":"p5691","title":"Ibe Guinomi","description":"This Bizen sake cup is by Sozan Kaneshige, a celebrated Bizen master who began his career as an assistant to his older brother, the genius potter Toyo Kaneshige, and whose beloved works continue to captivate many. Although Sozan remained in the shadow of his brother Toyo for many years, refusing to sell his own work until he was over fifty, this piece was crafted between the ages of sixty and seventy, a period when his works began to appear before the public. Fired in the \"hi-mae\" (direct fire) position of the kiln, the generous coating of yellow sesame glaze has melted into a glassy finish on the front. In contrast, the back remained in the shadow of the fire, resulting in a clay surface that absorbed smoke deeply, creating a charming, melting texture. The remarkably bold, imposing foot has a powerful presence, as if rooted in the earth, and its sharp, masterful craftsmanship makes it the ultimate companion for a drink.\n\nSigned wooden box (Shiho-san)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.8cm × 6.7cm × Height 6.3cm\n\nSozan Kaneshige (1909–1995) was the younger brother of Living National Treasure Toyo Kaneshige, and worked alongside him until around 1951. Renowned as a leading figure in tea ceramics, he excelled in the Momoyama-style *hidasuki* (fire-cord) technique. He built the Maruyama Kiln in the eastern suburbs of Okayama City in 1964 and garnered significant attention in 1966 with his announcement of Momoyama-style *hidasuki* pieces created using an electric kiln. In 1982, he moved to Inbe and built the Ushigami-shita Kiln, and in 1983, he was designated a holder of an important intangible cultural property by Okayama Prefecture. He received the Commissioner for Cultural Affairs Award, the Okayama Prefecture Cultural Award, and the Order of the Rising Sun, Fourth Class, Gold Rays with Rosette. He passed away in 1995.","brand":"金重素山","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618004422753,"sku":"5691","price":130000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/5691.jpg?v=1790231014","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p5691","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
