{"product_id":"p5699","title":"Drink white liquor from the drawer.","description":"This is a brand new *hikidashi* (drawn-out) white sake cup, freshly taken from the kiln by Koichiro Isezaki, who was born as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and has brought a breath of fresh air to the world of Bizen ware with his extraordinary sense and skillful sculpting ability. While taking full advantage of the characteristics of Bizen ware as an earthen material, he skillfully incorporates essences from his roots, such as wood carving, to create a unique piece that is instantly recognizable as his own. The *hikidashi* technique, in which the piece is pulled from the kiln during firing, causes a transformation in the kiln glaze and the overall scenery that resembles a gemstone, with the vitrified *goma* (ash glaze) taking on a beautiful hue like amber. Using a special white clay from Ibe, the pure white base color highlights the faint green of the natural glaze. Inside the cup, there is an area where a large amount of natural glaze has flowed in and cooled, creating a mystical sight reminiscent of a flickering amber mass on the lakebed when sake is poured into it.\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please allow some time for shipping)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.6cm × Diameter 8.5cm × Height 6.3cm\n\nKoichiro Isezaki was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki.
