{"product_id":"p5761","title":"Ido sake cup","description":"This is an Ido sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing, and form. True to the style of Morimoto-sensei, who is passionate about researching not only Bizen but also Ido ware, this piece possesses a dignity and refined \"withered\" character that approaches the classics. Seeking to capture the tactile experience of the Ido bowls loved by ancient tea masters in a sake cup, it features an elegant form identical to that of a tea bowl, adorned with magnificent crackles and \"kai-ragi\" (plum blossom skin) glaze; it is a piece that promises to mature beautifully with use. This particular work is notable for its splendid pale pink \"gohonde\" (fire-color) spots, which harmonize perfectly with the gentle, milky-white glaze that has a restrained, clear tone.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for delivery).\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 8.7cm × 8.6cm × Height 5.2cm\n\nYoshinobu Morimoto was born in Okayama Prefecture in 1976.
