{"product_id":"p5859","title":"Black sake bottle","description":"This is a black sake bottle by Tomoyuki Oiwa, who has made his highly anticipated debut after honing his pottery skills under Ryuichi Kakurezaki. Created in an anagama kiln he designed and built himself in Kamigori, Hyogo Prefecture, this piece was fired during his first kiln opening at the end of November, making it a work from two firings ago. It was fired with the intention of achieving a strong, intense burn, resulting in a magnificent appearance that belies the fact that it came from his very first kiln opening. This intense firing has transformed the black into a stunning color, possessing the same lustrous, clear black hue as the work of his mentor, Kakurezaki. Regarding its form, he has thoroughly pursued beauty as a three-dimensional object, incorporating various meticulous carvings and details into the constricted body design to create a \"cool\" and striking silhouette. While the work shows a deep obsession with form, he has also paid close attention to usability, ensuring the piece is not overly heavy and pours well—a testament to Oiwa's high level of skill and consideration.\n\nSigned wooden box (shiho-san) included\u003cbr\u003e\nRim 3.7cm x Body diameter 8.7cm x Body diameter 8.5cm x Height 16.1cm, Capacity 350cc\n\nTomoyuki Oiwa was born in Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture, in 1977.
