{"product_id":"p5861","title":"Painted Bizen Sake Cup","description":"This is a newly fired, painted Bizen sake cup by Anjin Abe, a master with deep insight into ancient pottery and a keen aesthetic sense who creates one-of-a-kind works through his unique research and firing techniques. The front features a chicken, the theme for this year, depicted with adorable uniqueness through carvings and red coloring against a backdrop of gold. The sun on the reverse side is equally magnificent, creating a composition that combines the innocence and power of an ancient civilization's mural. It is characteristic of Abe sensei that such bold painted imagery is well-supported by the profound texture of the clay, resulting in a work that is highly harmonious as a whole. The interior features rich yellow sesame glaze (kigoma) that looks as if droplets have fallen onto it—a firing technique that has impressed fans of antique Bizen and provides enjoyment from every angle.\n\nSigned wooden box (Shihozan, double box) \u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 6.7cm x 6.3cm x Height 6.5cm\n\nAnjin Abe was formerly a Western-style painter. He collected ceramics as a hobby, but feeling dissatisfied with contemporary Bizen ware, he began pottery in 1972 to create pieces that he could be satisfied with himself. He frequently creates water jars, flower vases, flat jars, bowls, sake bottles, and sake cups, all wheel-thrown and finished with a spatula. His work is based on the ancient Bizen ware of the Momoyama period, with a meticulous focus on firing. He also presents works that combine various materials and techniques such as ceramics, lacquer, oil painting, and bronze (mixed media), engaging in a diverse range of creative activities. He energetically holds solo exhibitions both in Japan and overseas, including in Tokyo, Osaka, New York, and Paris.","brand":"安倍安人","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618691338337,"sku":"5861","price":200000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/5861.jpg?v=1790240625","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p5861","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
