This is a newly fired Shino-yōhen sake cup, fresh from his kiln.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nFired around November 2021, this unique piece was made by applying Shino glaze to Shino clay and firing it in a Bizen climbing kiln.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nWhile the base follows the traditions of Shino ware, the overlapping effects of the climbing kiln firing have created a new series that offers infinite variations to enjoy.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nRetaining the soft, beautiful white color characteristic of feldspar-based Shino glazes, this piece was fired at a position known as the \"ichiban\" (the hottest spot) in the middle of the climbing kiln, resulting in a green, glass-like ash glaze (vidro) that has flowed down the surface.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nWhile the emerald-like beauty of the ash glaze is undeniably lovely, the interior of the cup features natural glaze that has hardened into a gel-like state, boiled down by intense heat to create a unique landscape that looks as if lava has clung to the surface.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nIts orthodox form, combined with the texture of the glaze, makes it very easy to use.\n\nSigned wooden box to be provided later (We apologize for the delay in shipping.)\u003cbr\u003e\nDiameter 7.5cm × 7.3cm × Height 6.8cm\n\nTakashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nHaving decided to become a ceramic artist from a young age, he chose to study sculpture in university to broaden his perspective on ceramics.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nAfter graduating from the Tokyo University of the Arts with a degree in sculpture in 2006, he honed his skills at the Kyoto Municipal Institute of Industrial Technology and Culture.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nHe became independent in 2007 and held his first solo exhibition.\u003cbr\u003e\n\u003cbr\u003e\nCurrently, he is active primarily through solo exhibitions at department stores.","brand":"馬場隆志","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618717519969,"sku":"6442","price":14300.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/6442.jpg?v=1790241141","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p6442","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
