{"product_id":"p6547","title":"Baijiu drinker","description":"Born as the eldest son of Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki, this is a newly kiln-fired white sake cup by Koichiro Isezaki, who is breathing new life into the world of Bizen ware with his exceptional sense and masterful sculpting skills.\n\nThis is a brand-new work that has just come out of the kiln as of March 2022.\n\nWhile taking full advantage of the properties of Bizen ware as an earthy medium, he has skillfully incorporated essences from his own roots, such as wood carving, to create a unique piece that is unmistakably Koichiro's.\n\nWithout using any glazes or slip, he has created an unprecedented landscape by firing special white clay from Inbe.\n\nThe entire piece appears as if it has been thinly coated with a transparent glaze, which alone reveals the unique reaction of the white clay to the ash, helping one understand the deep fascination this white clay holds for Koichiro.\n\nInside the cup, one can see a natural glaze close to the original color of yellow sesame ash, but it is a creamier, softer hue; this, combined with the champagne-gold color of the body's clay, creates a wondrous landscape to enjoy.\n\nThe piece was shaped by tearing a lump of clay in two, overlapping the pieces, and forming them by hand; the resulting tear marks remain as a dynamic, rock-like texture that gives the work a powerful presence.\n\nSigned wooden box to follow (please note that it will take some time before shipping).\nDiameter 8.4cm x 8.4cm x Height 6.4cm\n\nKoichiro Isezaki was born in Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture, in 1974 as the eldest son of Jun Isezaki.\n\nAfter graduating from the Sculpture Department of Tokyo Zokei University in 1994, he studied abroad in the United States.\n\nSubsequently, in 1998, he studied under Jeff Shapiro, a potter living in New York City who was a student of his father.\n\nAfter studying pottery for about two years, he returned to Japan and, from 2000, began working as an independent potter under his father, Jun Isezaki.","brand":"伊勢崎晃一朗","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46618719125601,"sku":"6547","price":24000.0,"currency_code":"JPY","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0654\/9916\/8865\/files\/6547.jpg?v=1790241217","url":"https:\/\/tourakuen.myshopify.com\/en\/products\/p6547","provider":"川口陶楽苑","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
