It is titled "Sohen-kuro" (Blue-Change Black) because areas where natural glaze has accumulated take on a cobalt blue hue.

The deep blue-change coloring is particularly intense around the rim, allowing you to enjoy the subtle visual changes as the piece is used over time.

For this piece, the form was built up using the *tatara* (slab) technique and then refined by hand-molding, resulting in an exquisite form that evokes the tranquility and gentle undulations of a Raku tea bowl.

Unlike the exterior, the interior black is a deep, polished ink-like color, creating a captivating *mikomi* (interior floor) that perfectly suits the tranquil style of the work.

Signed wooden box to follow (please note that it will take some time to ship).
Diameter 7.1cm x 7.0cm x Height 6.9cm

Hiroshi Goseki was born in Chiba Prefecture in 1988.

After graduating from Tohoku University of Art and Design in 2013, he studied under Jun Isezaki, a Living National Treasure in Bizen ware.

He became independent in 2017 and built his own kiln in Hiyama, Hitachiomiya City, Ibaraki Prefecture, in 2019.
