p7811
Ibe Hidasuki Teacup
This is an Ibe-Hidasuki teacup from "Toukoubou Yu," a studio run by two disciples of Mr. Ariyoshi Kaneshige.

Within a simple style that thoroughly eschews unnecessary decoration,
there remains a subtle undulation of the clay that lets you feel the creator's breath.

It is a luxurious teacup made from exceptionally high-quality Bizen clay, so fine that the two creators felt it was "too good to use" when they first established the studio.

Although they usually produce quite thin, glass-shaped teacups, this time they have taken on the challenge of a classic style, following the forms of traditional teacups and opting for a traditional look for the Hidasuki fire-cord markings.

While they have changed the straw-wrapping method to a classic style, the quality of the Hidasuki itself is, of course, at a very high standard; the exterior features powerful Hidasuki lines, while the entire interior is covered in Hidasuki, resulting in a finish that pursues the beauty of utility.

No box included
Diameter 7.4cm x 7.3cm x Height 7.4cm

Toukoubou Yu is a studio established in 2011 by three disciples of Mr. Ariyoshi Kaneshige.

Current members
Shusaku Kaneshige (born 1978), Yosaku Kaneshige (born 1980)
