Hello everyone, how are you doing?
The other day, we received a lovely photo from a customer showing how they enjoy their evening drinks.
This time, it is a pairing of a sake cup by veteran artist Makoto Nakamura and a sake flask by Takeru Soga, who has just debuted.
The Nakamura family's characteristic scarlet clay glows sensuously once sake is poured into it.
Mr. Soga fires his kiln for two weeks, and the earthiness of his work—firmly and slowly vitrified yet still retaining a certain moisture—
is truly reminiscent of the Old Bizen style the artist strives for.
They told us that a drink at their favorite low table is a blissful time that cannot be replaced by anything else.
It makes me feel humbled and determined to continue working hard to introduce wonderful works that will become lifelong companions, sharing in such precious moments.
