青展―人間国宝の青―が開催されます

"Ao-Ten: The Blue of Living National Treasures" will be held.

Hello everyone, how are you doing? Starting July 25th, the FAN Museum in Honami, Bizen City, will be hosting the "Blue Exhibition," featuring works by Living National Treasures. The FAN Museum is a new facility adjacent to the Kei Fujiwara Memorial Hall in Honami, Bizen City. While some services such as pottery workshops are currently suspended due to the impact of COVID-19, they are reportedly resuming operations in conjunction with this exhibition. In Bizen ware, blue "yohen" (kiln-transformed) works derived from black pieces made with coated clay, as well as "Aobizen" (blue Bizen) created by turning the surface blue through techniques like reduction firing and salt glazing, have recently gained popularity; however, the color blue has been cherished by people as a mystical color since ancient times. This exhibition focuses on blue pieces among such craft arts, allowing visitors to enjoy the mystical landscapes inherent in blue ceramics. Please be sure to visit if you are in the area. We also have flyers with special discount tickets available at our store, so please feel free to take one.   FAN Museum 3868 Honami, Bizen City, Okayama Prefecture 705-0033 0869-67-0638
