The ceramic sculpture exhibition of Gyokushu Kimura, a leading artist in Bizen pottery sculpture, begins tomorrow.
The latest works by Kimura, born the 17th generation of the Bizen Rokusei Gosaikunin (master Bizen artisans), will be on display at Kuroiyama.
Much like his father, the 16th-generation master Sotoku, known as a master of Bizen ceramic figures,
the pieces on display showcase the dynamic energy and intricate detail characteristic of Kimura, who is known for spending entire days observing animals at the zoo.
An exhibition by the members of the Setouchi Sochokai will also be held concurrently.
We cordially invite you to take this opportunity to view these works.
