This is a Bizen sake cup by Rokuro Nakamura.
I feel it would be boorish to use lengthy words to describe this cup.
Just like a drink downed in one go, I think it is enough to simply write that it is "good."
The works of popular sake ware artists, including Mr. Rokuro, always seem somehow unfinished.
There is a sense that something is missing, which is frustrating, and yet that is precisely why my interest never fades and I can admire them for a long time.
Or perhaps they are only truly complete when filled with sake, and a dim light reflects on the water's surface.
