Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
The summer-like weather these past few days has had me pulling out my short-sleeved shirts.
Just like the cherry blossoms, the pleasant days of spring were truly short-lived.
Speaking of cherry blossoms, I received some very lovely cherries from a customer.
I heard they were grown without pesticides, and their beautiful crimson color is so soothing to the heart.
To accentuate the beautiful red and the green of the leaves, I arranged them in a pedestal vase by Tomori-sensei.
While it can be displayed on its own as an object d'art, the lid can also be removed to use it as a vase for a single flower.
I feel that the piece’s clay, with its strong reddish tones, really brings out the color of the flowers.
Thank you so very much for the lovely cherries.
