Hello everyone, how are you all doing?
We have received photos from a customer showing their recent evening drinks.
They have been enjoying them using pieces purchased from our shop, including
an Ido-style pouring vessel by Master Morimoto and a sake bottle by Master Jumpei Kaneshige.
I am so pleased to hear that they were moved by the charm of the crazing on the Ido-style vessel, the comfort of the sake bottle in their hand,
and the vibrant scarlet that shines through the subdued hues.
I am truly grateful to know that the pieces purchased from our shop provide solace in their daily life.
It is a moment of pure happiness for me to hear stories of how the works I carefully hand-selected from among many others have been met with such empathy and are now being used with such affection.
During the recent holidays, several customers visited our shop in person,
having been inspired to see the works after reading the blog post about Master Toyo.
Sharing the time to admire and appreciate such magnificent works together is another truly joyful experience.
I truly realize that we are able to continue our business each day because we are supported by the passion our customers have for pottery.
I will continue to work hard for the development of Bizen ware to ensure I can live up to that passion.
