Description
This is a new teacup by Kazuki Nakamura, whose work follows the tradition of his father and grandfather, the master sake vessel makers Rokuro and Shin Nakamura, to create pieces of profound character. This particular kiln firing yielded many works with exceptionally beautiful scarlet coloration, and this piece also features a vibrant scarlet hue across its entire surface. Its plump, charming form fits comfortably in the palm when held, making it easy to use, while the smooth texture felt at the fingertips makes it a pleasure just to hold. Being quite large, it is suitable for a wide variety of drinks, from tea and beer to shochu and coffee. It also comes in a paulownia wood box at an affordable price, making it an excellent choice for a gift.
