Description

This is a Bizen small plate by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing techniques, and form. Crafted from slow-fired mountain clay, the piece balances the raw, rugged presence of the earth itself with a bright, crisp, and refreshing "sesame" glaze. The rich, well-fired yellow sesame glaze, reminiscent of antique Bizen jars, is a delight to behold and beautifully enhances the colors of any food served upon it. The underside features a rich, earthy texture characterized by sophisticated hues of deep purple. Signed wooden box (lid with two crossbars)
Diameter 16.5cm x 16.1cm x Height 3.2cm
