Description
A Bizen sake cup by Mashiro Aiga, an artist known for creating works that are consistently straightforward and bold. Among Aiga’s works, this piece is characterized by its sharp, well-defined form with relatively little distortion. Its simple composition further highlights the originality of the firing, with the intense, pumice-like texture of the sangiri light-gray finish leaving a vivid impression. The dark reddish-brown patch in the center of the interior glows with a faint, dull luster when filled with sake, creating a beautiful effect.
The signed paulownia box will be provided at a later date (as it is currently being crafted, please allow some time for shipment).
