Description
This is a Bizen coffee cup by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. This piece was specially commissioned from Mr. Jumpei Kaneshige. He approaches his pottery with great care and patience, and the result is a truly luxurious coffee cup that highlights the profound, earthy quality characteristic of Kaneshige Bizen ware. Its large, clean-lined form seems to reflect a straightforward spirit, and its lack of pretension makes it a piece that can be enjoyed for a long time without ever tiring of it.
