Description
This is a Bizen coffee cup by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige school. This piece was specially commissioned from Mr. Kaneshige. He spares no effort in his work, dedicating ample time to engaging with the clay, resulting in an exceptionally luxurious coffee cup that highlights the profound, earthy quality characteristic of Kaneshige Bizen ware. Its large, clean-lined form, which seems to reflect a straightforward spirit, is unpretentious and suggests a piece that can be enjoyed for a long time without ever tiring of it.
