Description
This Bizen beer mug is the work of Masao Akitani, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works overflowing with unique originality within a fresh spirit. This is a newly crafted piece featuring a "dojime" (waist-tightened) shape. It is meticulously detailed, with the dynamic lines of the waist as the primary feature, while the inward spatula marks on the base and rim further emphasize the sense of movement, showcasing the effectiveness of Akitani's technique. The rich, flavorful "goma" (sesame) glaze is also perfectly harmonized with Akitani's precise and well-balanced form. We are happy to provide gift wrapping and message cards free of charge, so please do not hesitate to ask.
