Description

This Bizen beer mug is a work by Masao Akitani, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality amidst a new spirit. This is a newly produced piece featuring a "dojime" (waisted) form. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the design centers on the fluid lines of the waist, while the inward-curving spatula marks on the base and rim further emphasize this sense of motion, demonstrating Mr. Akitani’s skillful touch. The rich, flavorful "goma" (sesame) glaze is applied generously and harmonizes beautifully with Mr. Akitani's careful and well-balanced form. We also offer complimentary gift wrapping, including "noshi" (ceremonial paper wrapping) and message cards, so please do not hesitate to ask. Signed wooden box (double-slat lid)
Diameter 8.0cm × Diameter 7.4cm × Height 9.7cm
