Description

This is a new Hidasuki sake bottle by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with a superb aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his handling of clay, firing, and craftsmanship. The scenery born from carefully selected clay fired slowly in the kiln is highlighted by a Hidasuki pattern brimming with vitality, reminiscent of old Bizen ware. This rich Hidasuki complements the dignified form of the katatsuki (shouldered) sake bottle, matching the expansive, tree-like body and the precisely folded rim. The toasted light-gray clay body pairs beautifully with the fox-colored sesame-like markings. Signed wooden box (shiho-san)
