Description

This black beer tumbler is the work of Masao Akitani, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality within a new spirit. It is a piece that perfectly matches a novel black clay slip with a unique form that makes use of Masao Akitani's signature creativity. The yellow of the *kigoma* (yellow sesame glaze) creates a superb contrast with the black, adding wonderful definition to the aesthetic landscape. Because it was fired with seashells placed on it, it features an interesting pattern known as *kai-ato* (shell marks), which is another highlight of the piece. Please do not hesitate to ask if you would like us to include a *noshi* gift wrap or a message card, which we provide free of charge. Signed wooden box (double-slat lid)
Diameter 8.3cm x 7.8cm x Height 11.7cm
