Description
This black beer cup is by Masao Akitani, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality infused with a fresh spirit. The piece features a distinct form that showcases Akitani’s trademark ingenuity, perfectly complemented by a novel black slip. The yellow of the "kigoma" (yellow sesame glaze) creates a brilliant contrast with the black, adding wonderful definition to the landscape of the piece. Because it was fired with seashells placed on it, it features interesting markings known as "kaia-to" (shell marks), which are another highlight of this work. We are happy to provide gift wrapping or message cards free of charge, so please do not hesitate to ask. There is a small adhesion flaw.
