Description
This Bizen flower vase is the work of Kazuki Nakamura, who carries on the tradition of master sake-ware potters Rokuro and Shin Nakamura to create deeply evocative pieces. It is an exquisite vase, adorned with such magnificent kiln-transmutation effects that one is tempted to repurpose it as a sake vessel. Divided by a constriction at the center, the piece features a soft scarlet hue and matte "kase-goma" ash glaze on one side, and well-melted yellow "goma" ash glaze on the other. This superb kiln-transmutation can be enjoyed from any angle.
