Description
This is a latest Bizen hidatsuki sake flask by Jumpei Kaneshige, the eldest son of Kosuke Kaneshige, the leading figure of the Kaneshige family. It is a flattened sake flask featuring the signature lined pattern passed down through three generations of the Kaneshige family, adorned with a masterfully executed hidatsuki (fire-cord) design by Jumpei. The bright, azuki-bean-colored clay body is wrapped diagonally with smooth, moist-textured hidatsuki, with the gradation of the fire-cord itself clearly visible. While already very pleasant to the touch, the texture is sure to become even more magnificent with use or when dampened.
