Description
This Bizen sake cup is the work of Kazuki Nakamura, who carries on the tradition of his grandfather, the master sake vessel maker Rokuro Nakamura, and his father, Shin Nakamura, to create pieces of profound character. Fired in a way that absorbs plenty of smoke, the cup is distinguished by its magnificent, tree-bark-like *kase-goma* (dull, matte ash glaze). In between, the faint scarlet-tinted earthen texture peeks through, promising to be a wonderful companion to your drink. It is a piece with depth far beyond its price, making it ideal as an introduction to Bizen sake vessels or as a gift.
Signed wooden box (lid with two crossbars)
