Description

This Bizen sake cup is by Kazuki Nakamura, an artist who continues the legacy of master sake ware potters Rokuro and Shin Nakamura, creating works of great depth and character. It showcases the Nakamura family's signature, exquisite clay quality—a vibrant red that appears to permeate to the very core. While the fine-grained surface still has a slight firmness, it is expected to develop an increasingly soft texture with continued use. It is a piece that offers depth far beyond its price, making it an ideal choice for both those new to Bizen sake ware and as a gift. Signed wooden box (double-slatted)
Diameter 8.6cm × Diameter 8.5cm × Height 3.6cm Kazuki Nakamura was born in 1980 as the eldest son of Shin Nakamura. After graduating from the Faculty of Letters at Okayama University in 2003, he studied under his grandfather and father to hone his pottery skills. He fired his first kiln and became an independent artist in 2006.
