Painted Bizen tea bowl

This is a colored Bizen tea bowl by Anjin Abe, a creator of one-of-a-kind works through his original research and firing techniques, underpinned by his profound insight into and aesthetic sense for antique pottery. It is a piece with a bold composition, scattered with symbols such as triangles and circles. The front and the interior feature a white finish where natural ash glaze and glass have fused, which, combined with the red and blue on the sides, resembles tricolor coloring.
