Description
This is a Bizen sake bottle by Kosei Kibata, who made his long-awaited debut after nine years of training as a pupil of Jun Isezaki. It is a sake bottle from his "Sue" series, which he stated he intends to make a central part of his future work; it features a Sue-ware-style surface that has shifted to a gray tone. The texture of the surface is very close to that of actual Sue-ware, and the artist notes that the gray hue will deepen and become more enjoyable with use. It is a work with a primitive and simple appeal.
