Description

This series of small plates is by Masao Akitani, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality infused with a fresh spirit. These pieces are delightful, easy to use, and conveniently sized at around 15 cm, making them simple to store without taking up much width or height. The appeal lies in the varied firing techniques, such as the kiln alterations characteristic of an anagama wood-fired kiln, and the carefully crafted black finish. When in use, they serve as excellent supporting players, as is typical of Bizen ware, highlighting the food, sweets, or fruit they hold. Paper box
