Description

This series of small plates is by Masao Akitani, who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality within a fresh spirit. These pieces are about 15 cm in size, making them easy to use, store, and handle due to their compact width and height. They are also appealing for their diverse firing techniques, including kiln changes characteristic of wood-fired kilns and a carefully crafted black finish. When in use, they serve as excellent supporting players in the Bizen ware tradition, beautifully accentuating the dishes, sweets, or fruit they hold. Paper box
