Description
This is a new Bizen rice bowl by Go Kaneshige, marking a new chapter in his career following the completion of his anagama kiln in Kukui. It is a piece fired in a stacked arrangement reminiscent of ancient mountain bowls, featuring a somewhat softer, strongly reddish clay body. Its simple and serene form would also make an interesting small tea bowl for whisking matcha. Due to the softer nature of the clay, the color is expected to evolve significantly as it is used over time.
