Description

This is an Oribe beer mug by Masao Akiya, an artist who apprenticed under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality amidst a fresh spirit. It is his first attempt at Oribe using Shigaraki clay, and the glaze, which exudes a sense of coolness, is truly wonderful. The form, which reflects the meticulous attention to detail characteristic of the Isezaki school, incorporates graceful curves and subtle cuts into its streamlined design, making it simple yet timeless. It comes in a paulownia wood box, making it an ideal choice for gifts or commemorative items. (Please feel free to request wrapping paper or paper bags on the order screen.) Signed wooden box (with two-sided batten)
Diameter 8.5cm x 8.1cm x Height 12.1cm
