Description

This is a new Ibe hexagonal sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who is constantly evolving in his approach to clay, firing, and craftsmanship. This challenging latest work reimagines the Kiseto hexagonal sake cup through Morimoto’s unique perspective. The hard-fired surface features a subtle "nuke" (clearance) effect, and the lustrous quality of the clay is a magnificent highlight. The generous "goma" (ash glaze) pooled in the interior adds profound depth and complements the hexagonal form beautifully. Signed wooden box (shiho-san)
