Description
This is a Bizen tea cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, an apprentice of the master Sozan Kaneshige. The piece was fired in a position that allowed for optimal airflow, resulting in a striking, bold scarlet hue. Created using a blend of rice-paddy clay and mountain clay perfected through years of research, the work features a beautiful earthen texture while remaining pleasant to the touch. The foot, carved with the artist’s signature one-and-a-half rotation style, is remarkably dynamic and adds to the profound world embodied even in this tea cup. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand, making it easy to use for women as well.
