Description
This is a Bizen tea cup by the popular young artist Yoshiteru Koriki, an apprentice of the master Sozan Kaneshige. The piece was fired in a position with direct airflow, resulting in a bold, eye-catching scarlet hue. Created using a blend of rice-paddy clay and mountain clay perfected through years of research, it possesses a beautiful earthen texture with a remarkably pleasant feel in the hand. The dynamic foot, carved with a signature one-and-a-half rotation mark, is a sight to behold, endowing this tea cup with a profound sense of artistry. With its bold, larger-than-palm size, it is versatile enough to be used for shochu, beer, or any other beverage you choose.
