Description
This is an Ibe sake cup by Yoshinobu Morimoto, an artist with an exceptional aesthetic sense who continues to evolve in his work with clay, firing, and form. Its shape, reminiscent of a miniature tea bowl, seems to convey the artist's unwavering passion for tea ceramics. The application of the "goma" (ash glaze) is dynamic and varied, featuring everything from small, speckled "tobi-goma" to dramatic, waterfall-like streaks flowing across the surface. The "tobi-goma" in the interior, in particular, will create a magnificent scene when filled with sake.
Signed wooden box (shiho-san) included
