Description

This is the latest black bowl from the kiln of Masao Akiya, a potter who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality infused with a fresh spirit. This is a brand new attempt by Mr. Akiya, a vessel with a charming, rounded design aptly named a "wan" (bowl) because it can be used for truly anything. Mr. Akiya uses it at home as a café au lait bowl, but it would also be perfect for serving soup, side dishes, or as a dessert cup. The black color makes the ingredients stand out beautifully, so it would also be appetizing to use for a mini rice bowl topped with colorful sashimi. Holding it with both hands during your morning coffee break will provide a warm, soothing moment of relaxation. Signed wooden box to be provided later (please allow some time for shipping)
