Description
This black bowl is a brand-new creation from the kiln of Masao Akiya, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality within a fresh sensibility. Named simply "Wan" (bowl) to signify its true versatility, this piece is a first for Mr. Akiya, featuring a delightfully rounded and cute design. While the artist uses his own at home as a café au lait bowl, it would also be perfect for serving soup, side dishes, or even as a dessert cup. Given the beautiful scenery within the Bizen-style body, it could also be enjoyed as a piece of table decor, filled with water and floating flower petals. Held in both hands during your morning coffee, it is sure to provide a soothing and comforting start to your day.
