Description

This is a Bizen mug, the latest release from Masao Akiya, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works full of unique originality infused with a fresh sensibility. While the design is simple and unforced, the smart construction of the handle and the flowing form are very stylish. It is a slightly larger size, making it suitable for use anywhere and at any time. The kiln changes created in the anagama kiln, which stand out within the simple design, are also captivating. (It is stamped with 2012, the year it was scheduled to be taken out of the kiln.)
