Description

This is the latest Bizen mug fresh from the kiln by Masao Akitani, an artist who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates pieces brimming with original character amidst a fresh sensibility. While the design is simple and unforced, the smart construction of the handle and the fluid form are highly stylish. It is a slightly larger size, making it suitable for any time or place. The kiln-transformed effects from the anagama kiln, which stand out within the simple structure, are also captivating. (It is stamped "2012," the year it was scheduled to be fired.) Paper box
Diameter 11.1cm × 8.1cm × Height 8.6cm Masao Akitani was born in Saitama in 1968. In 1998, he began an apprenticeship under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki.
