Description

This Bizen sake cup is the work of Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe, has loved Bizen ware since childhood, and finds his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. The piece features a large, orthodox-shaped body combined with a sharply carved foot. The black color achieved through the application of slip varies dynamically, appearing glossy in some areas and matte in others. The brushstrokes from the application of the slip appear like ripples, and when held up to the light, one can enjoy the flow of the brush marks. Signed wooden box (double-slat)
Diameter 8.2cm x 8.1cm x Height 6.3cm Takashi Baba was born in 1983 as the eldest son of Bizen ware artist Shosuke Baba.
