Description
This is a new white Bizen free cup by Takashi Baba, who was born in Imbe and has loved Bizen ware since childhood, finding his life's joy in creating works and firing kilns. This easy-to-use free cup is crafted from a semi-porcelain clay designed for white Bizen, which is a blend of Bizen clay and porcelain clay. The inclusion of porcelain clay allows for extremely crisp carving, giving the base of the cup a very sharp edge. Amidst the chic white aesthetic, kiln alterations characteristic of wood-firing have emerged, causing the clay to blush into a pink hue in various places.
