Description

This is a new Hidasuki bowl by Takashi Baba, an artist born in Imbe who has loved Bizen ware since childhood and finds joy in life through creating works and firing kilns. This piece prioritizes functionality, with its weight minimized to the extreme and a restrained design. Because it is extremely thin and lightweight, it is recommended even for those who prefer lighter tableware, yet the firing is characteristic of well-fired Bizen Hidasuki. The dark brown clay tone transitions into a reddish-brown, and the white center features deep, expressive Hidasuki markings. As shown in the photo, it is suitable for anything, including salads, pasta, noodles, or fruit.
