Description
This is a black beer tumbler by Masao Akiya, a potter who studied under Living National Treasure Jun Isezaki and creates works brimming with unique originality amidst a new spirit. Reflecting the Isezaki school’s mastery of black glaze, these pieces feature a variety of blacks, including solid black and scarlet-black. The design, which embodies the studious nature of Akiya-sensei, seamlessly blends aesthetics with ease of use, ensuring the work can be thoroughly enjoyed even after finishing your drink. As a beer tumbler that appeals to anyone, it makes a perfect gift and comes with a paulownia wood box. (Please note that there is some peeling of the *kase-goma* (stony ash) glaze on the rim.)
