Description
This Bizen sake bottle is by Rinpei Watanabe, who experiments with various approaches to draw closer to the works that inspire him. Fine, textured details cover the surface, with a delicate, matte-finish sesame glaze firmly fired onto it. A harmonious blend of black, red, and brown tones creates a surface reminiscent of antique Bizen, yet from another perspective, it evokes the moss-covered surface of a giant boulder that has been rolling for a thousand years. When in use, the bottle is moistened by sake, revealing a scenery that combines both delicacy and strength, much like a giant rock gently dampened by rain.
